Notes from the 6th Insurance Data Science conference

The 6th Insurance Data Science Conference (IDSC), held at Stockholm University, Department of Mathematics, 17 - 18 June 2024, concluded with resounding success. The conference brought together over 170 participants from more than 20 countries across five continents, fostering a truly global exchange of knowledge and best practices.

The programme offered a unique balance of perspectives, with half of the talks delivered by leading industry practitioners and the other half by esteemed academics. This blend ensured the conference addressed both the theoretical foundations and real-world applications of data science in the insurance industry.

We extend our deepest gratitude to all the speakers, panel members, and keynote speakers who shared their expertise and ignited thought-provoking discussions. A special thanks goes to Katrien Antonio (KU Leuven and University of Amsterdam), Mario Wüthrich (ETH Zurich), and Björn Dalemo (Länsförsäkringar Alliance) for their captivating keynote addresses.

The local organisers at Stockholm University Department of Mathematics deserve immense credit for their dedication in making the conference a smooth and enriching experience for all attendees. We are also grateful to our sponsors for their valuable support.
