The conference brings together academics and practitioners in areas including data science, analytics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, computational statistics and software, as applied in the insurance industry.
The 2022 Insurance Data Science Conference will be held in a hybrid mode allowing both in-person and on-line attendance.
If due to the COVID pandemic an in-person event will not be possible the conference will be held on-line only.

4th Insurance Data Science Conference

We are looking for presentations in data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence, computational statistics and software as applied in the insurance context.
The call for abstracts is closed.
The submitted abstracts are currently under evaluation of the scientific committee of the conference. Conference fees will be waived for speakers whose abstracts are accepted.
Participants will be invited to submit an extended full paper for peer-reviewed publication in special issues.
Two alternative special issues will be available for participants on the journals Risks and Quality & Quantity.

Registration for the 2022 conference opens 20 January 2022, early bird registration will close 15 April 2022, with late registration closing 4 June 2022.
A maximum number of 200 in-person participants will be accepted.
In case an in-person event will not be allowed due to Covid pandemic constraints, attendances that paid the “in-person fee” will be refunded the difference of the in-person and on-line fee.

Fees will increase by €100 for all tickets from 16 April to 4 June 2022
Fees are waived for participants whose abstracts have been selected for presentation by the scientific committee.
Countries classified as developing countries for this purpose are those whose economies are listed by the World Bank as “Low income” or “Lower Middle Income” in the World Bank list of economies. Delegates must be residing, working and be employed in a developing country to qualify for the reduced rate.
You can check the list of emerging countries here. We will check your country and based on this list, you will be granted the emerging countries fee.
In the event somebody registers at the emerging countries rate whilst not living in that country, we keep the right to cancel this registration.
For “on-site” participants, the Gala Dinner on Thursday and the Welcome Event on Wednesday will be included in the registration fee.
Welcome Event will be held on Wednesday afternoon (5-7 p.m.) at Cour d’Honneur of Catholic University (Milan, Largo Gemelli 1)
Gala Dinner will be held on Thursday evening (from 8-8.30 p.m.) at Palazzo Visconti di Modrone (Milan, Via Cino del Duca 8)
The location of the Gala Dinner can be reached from the university by metro (red line from Cadorna to San Babila) or by walk (25-30 minutes approximatively).

A password is requested and will be communicated to all attendants “in-person”. The possibility to register closes the 30 of May, but please do that as soon as possible to allow us to manage accordingly the organization of the event.
Accompanying persons and participants that registered in online mode may attend to the Gala Dinner and/or to the Welcome Event but at the cost billed to us for each participant (write to the conference for additional information).

The congress will take place at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (Largo Gemelli 1, Milan) in the centre of Milan.

There are a number of hotel options local to the University as well as other alternatives. We suggest to find an accommodation close to Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in the area Sant’Ambrogio-Cadorna (city centre and close to the University).
